Going the IPSW route can take longer to update than using the newer OTA (over the air) method, the reason being that OTA uses smaller delta updates than the larger IPSW files, which are the full sized downloads and are often literally 10x the download size.
You should only download and use IPSW from Apple. If the links to the IPSW files do not point to Apple servers (typically appldnld.apple.com), you should not download them. We link to IPSW which are hosted at Apple servers for each iOS version, including iOS 9.3.3, here:
Everytime i do ipsw update with my itunes i get a 3194 error code. what does this mean and how do i fix this. usually i would to download another file sometimes over 1 gig file. please someone clarify me

Downloaded iOS 4.0.2 IPSW file and tried to restore using the file but I kept getting a 3194 error. I also downloaded IPSW file for the latest firmware version (iOS 5.1). The first time I tried restoring using this it took more than 7hrs before I decided to kill the task via task manager.
Norman,Thank you so much for noting that you have to rename file as an .ipsw I have been trying all day to restore to an older version and the firmware i download doesnt show up. I will give that a try
The following shell script is just an example. It uses 'items.find()' (which is available in the non-Pro version), e.g. items.find({ \"repo\": {\"$eq\":\"my-repo\"}, \"name\": {\"$match\" : \"my-file*\"}}) that searches for files that have a repository name equal to \"my-repo\" and match all files that start with \"my-file\". Then it uses the shell JSON parser ./jq to extract the latest file by sorting by the date field 'updated'. Finally it uses wget to download the artifact.
Next, the script downloads four files from -da-sorte[.]com. The first, named 7za.7z, is a copy of the command line 7zip utility. The other three, named Ptl.7z, Bag.7z and Hunter.7z, are password protected zip files.
This solution helps solve the problem of not being able to restore a .bak file into an Azure SQL Database, but without the overhead of creating and maintaining a virtual machine. The code can be downloaded from Using an Azure Container Instance to convert BAK to BACPAC for Import into Azure SQL Database.
I'm really flailing around in AWS trying to figure out what I'm missing here. I'd like to make it so that an IAM user can download files from an S3 bucket - without just making the files totally public - but I'm getting access denied. If anyone can spot what's off I'll be stoked.
The workspace is a central part of the interaction with the version control. It is the directory that you use to interact with the version control, where you download the files and make the required changes for each checkin.
With the actual files being downloaded for the repo, Plastic creates (or updates) three key files inside the .plastic hidden directory in the root of the workspace: plastic.wktree, plastic.selector, and plastic.workspace.
plastic.wktree is where the essential metadata is stored. It contains metadata about the revisions downloaded from the repo that will later be used to track changes in the workspace. The metadata contains the name of the file or directory, the revision number, a timestamp of when it was written to disk, a hash of its content downloaded from the repo, and then extra info to display in GUIs and command line like the author.
Suppose you already have /src/foo.c in your workspace, and then you decide to cloak it. This means the file will be ignored by the update and hence never be updated even if new versions exist. It is useful if you want to avoid downloading certain big files or a huge tree because you can continue working with what you have and save time in updates.
After you create your partial workspace (typically using Gluon, although you can also create a regular workspace from CLI and then run cm partial configure), the next step is to configure it. Configuration tells Plastic what files you want to download and track, which means the workspace will behave differently from a full one. 59ce067264
